Fundraising Initiative

On Monday 14th February 2022, staff at PHD Access wore something red to show their support for the #WearRedforChildren campaign, a fundraising initiative that aims to raise awareness and funds for children’s charities with The Lighthouse Construction Charity.

The five charities are:

  • The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity Children’s Reserve, which provides financial assistance to children of construction workers who have suffered a bereavement or life-changing injury.
  • Crumlin Children’s Heart Centre, which offers specialist care and treatment to children with congenital heart defects.
  • Mercy University Hospital, which provides paediatric services to children in Cork and the surrounding areas.
  • Cork University Hospital, which operates the only paediatric neurosurgery unit in Ireland.
  • Make a Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Financial Support for a Noble Cause

Staff at PHD joined the campaign for the second year in a row and wore red items such as shirts, scarves, hats, and trousers. Some of the staff who participated in the campaign are Jas C, Ava G, Zoe O and Suzanne D.

Our BID Manager, Zoe, said:

“We are proud to support the #WearRedforChildren campaign and the amazing work that these charities do for children and their families. We hope that by wearing red, we can help raise awareness and funds for these worthy causes and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
