COVID-19 Response

Thursday 27th August 2020

Despite the UK slowly returning back to a sense of normality and with confirmed infection cases on a slow decline, PHD are fully aware that the infection is still very much present in our lives.

Employees are reminded that if they are venturing out to sites and attending in-person meetings to remain vigilant in social distancing and personal hygiene measures.

We have implemented a COVID19 Operating Manual which was sent to all staff in June 2020 outlining the various ways PHD are actively taking to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. This included a revised HQ based desk plan, each workstation equipped with personal hand sanitiser, microfibre cloth and anti-bacterial spray, Perspex dividers, and mounted hand sanitiser stations throughout the office and at entry to the building. All site operatives have been given reusable face masks for travelling and for use on site, in addition to site specific risk assessment in accordance to CIC.

We are now working at a 100% workforce again, with a mixture of office and home-based working. Meetings are being carried out by video/telephone conference, or in a meeting room with a 2-meter distance between participants.

Whilst these are still challenging and unprecedented times for all of us, we would like to assure you that PHD Access are continuing to provide you with the highest level of service possible.

We wish to thank all our clients and employees for their support.

PHD Access is closely monitoring developments concerning the coronavirus pandemic and adhering to Government Guidance to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all our employees and our clients are the top of our priority.

We have taken the difficult decision to furlough 90% of our staff, with others working directly from home. We have encouraged our staff to use Microsoft Teams to organise, manage and connect with their colleagues, with scheduled weekly company-wide Team calls and ‘Pub Quizzes’.

We are taking all necessary steps to prevent any potential business impact, are reviewing our health and safety initiatives and are in constant talks with our clients on how we can make changes on site to adapt to this situation.

With these challenging and unparalleled times, we would like to reassure you that PHD Access will provide you with the best level of service.

Thank you to all our employees and clients for their help and co-operation during this time.
