Overview of Role

PHD Access is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Marketing and Proposals Assistant to join our dynamic Marketing and Business Development department. In this role, you will primarily focus on driving our marketing initiatives, playing a pivotal role in developing and executing our marketing strategy. While also providing valuable support for preparing responses to PQQ/SPD and tender submissions, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Marketing and other departments to boost our marketing efforts and enhance our business development endeavours.

Key Responsibilities – Marketing:

  • Confidently support the marketing department in the development and execution of all print and digital marketing strategies, including website development, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC), content creation, email marketing campaigns, advertising, PR, and print collateral.
  • Monitor and analyse digital marketing campaigns such as social media and google analytics, (SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, etc.) for optimisation and development opportunities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the marketing email database and confidently build campaigns, working closely with the Marketing and Business Development team to target specific audiences.
  • Conduct monthly customer, competitor, and sector analysis, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Generate monthly marketing reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the company’s marketing operations run smoothly.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on market trends.
  • Manage client and company events from invitation design to managing the guest lists.

Key Responsibilities – Bid Management & Tenders

  • Formatting responses on Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires (
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for company submissions and marketing materials.
  • Create and maintain supporting marketing materials, including presentations, organisational charts, CVs, and case studies.
  • Utilise online tendering portals to identify potential opportunities and evaluate their suitability.
  • Assist in the renewal of company accreditations.
  • Manage and maintain the tender response library.
  • Provide support for other activities as required by the Business Development and Marketing team.


We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and qualities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong prioritisation and workload management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferable.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is preferable.

This role is ideal for recent graduates with a background in marketing or business-related subjects, or someone who is confident with an enthusiasm for business marketing. The primary place of work will be at PHD Access headquarters in Uxbridge, with occasional travel to our construction sites.
