SPECIFICATIONS

This project was the largest regeneration of Bristol since the war and saw the entire Broadmead area go under construction providing 139,250 sqm of new retail, leisure and residential space.

The centre piece featured a spectacular glass roof over the retail area. On completion Cabot Circus won the ‘British Council of Shopping Centres’ (BCSC) Supreme Gold Award 2008. 120 shops, 15 major flagship stores, 25 restaurants, 13 screen cinema, 250 new homes and a 2,600 space car park were all created in this giant size development.

PROJECT TEAM

To efficiently run a project of this size, safety coordination and carefully planned logistics were imperative. A specially selected team was created and placed full time on site consisting of Project, Commercial, Secretarial and Operational management.

SERVICES SUPPLIED

Due to the vast size of Cabot Circus, PHD used their full portfolio of services to deliver the abundance of access requirements. This included installation of scaffold (system & traditional), mechanical access (mast climbers & hoists), hoarding and secondary steel installation.

COMMENDATION

On this particular project, PHD were personally commended by Sir Robert Mc Alpine for both productivity and safe practice. Now that’s something you can’t buy in the shops.
